Sanosil Super 25 Ag is a disinfectant concentrate suitable for water, pipe and tank disinfection. Hydrogen peroxide is used as the active ingredient. It is also stabilised, and its disinfecting effect is catalytically enhanced several times over by adding a minimal amount of silver ions.

Yes Sanosil is supported under the BPR for PT5 – drinking water.

Sanosil test strips are available to give indicative results of Sanosil being present in the system. The Sanosil Test kit is also available to give a quantitative reading of the Sanosil present in the system. Other methods are available.

The active substances present in the Sanosil products WTP supply; Hydrogen Peroxide (CAS no.: 7722-84-1) and Silver (CAS no.: 7440-22-4) are supported under GB BPR and present in the Active Substance Supplier list (Article 95 of GB BPR) for Product Types 2, 4, and 5.

Legionella in drinking water and domestic systems is a bacteria that can colonise household water systems under certain conditions, posing a risk mainly through inhalation of contaminated aerosols rather than ingestion. Regular disinfection of critical equipment eliminates this risk. Which is where you can use Sanosil to kill legionella at the specified dose rates as per the method statement.
